CBS and NFL Network took fractional licensing of 2014’s Thursday Night Football broadcast with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. The goal was to create a lightweight, shippable, intuitive broadcast booth properties to work in a variety of stadium media booth sizes and constraints, and to complement the program’s new graphics package.
I drew directly from the on-screen graphics package by designing an integrated triangle truss stand, orientable screen mount, and bezel system that was easy to unpack and assemble. From there, I developed a set of large format graphic backgrounds that could be applied to a custom SEG frame for versatility and ease of use. I finished the project by supplying assembly instructions for both the screen kit and graphic backdrop, and oversaw the initial install to ensure the broadcast production team could deploy the properties week after week.
