The National Hockey League needed an exciting, ultra-mobile production that could be brought to the ice in the span of a commercial break for four different configurations. The varied setups were used for player introductions and intermission entertainment during the 2019 and 2020 All Star Game, and incorporated the event themes tied to the host cities, San Jose and St. Louis.
For 2019, I designed staging carts with ROE CB3 panels with custom bezels to invoke the look of large phone and tablet screens, alluding to the proximity of Silicon Valley. For 2020, I used a forced perspective theater trick to design a dynamic, video mapped, lightweight gateway arch incorporating ROE Stips, flanked by carts topped with event branded towers with Martin MAC Auras and LED player info screens.
For the 2020 Media Day junket at the Stifel Theater, I designed player interview booths that raised players and event branding over journalists' heads to allow the live audience to enjoy the action.
