Turner Sports turned to our team at Solomon Group once again, to assure success in a critical primetime broadcast environment. The NBA on TNT Roadshow, consisting of various broadcasts over the duration of the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, wanted to bring high energy to their broadcast programming.
The solution was simple in principle; make a backdrop out of an entire weekend of entertainment events at the Fillmore. The intimate venue provided plenty of opportunities for focused branding and eye candy elements. Wall appliques, mojo barricade wraps, a custom DJ booth, a sponsor LED header and background screen on-stage, and event themed custom stage scenery were all fair game in the sponsorship catalog. The venue layout eased the burden of designing an elevated broadcast platform with a three camera cross shot setup and short jib. From there, elements like the DJ booth and custom step and repeat became the perfect subjects for break-bumper shots.
